MEG STEVENS
ABOUT
With more than 20 years of experience building championship teams, leading complex organizations, and developing people, Meg Stevens is a nationally recognized leader and speaker on women’s leadership, resilience, organizational culture, and high performance.
Today, Meg serves as Executive Director of Chelsea Piers Connecticut, overseeing one of the region’s premier sports and recreation organizations. Her leadership spans people, programs, operations, strategy, and organizational growth, bringing together diverse teams around a shared vision for excellence.
Previously, Meg served as President of Arizona Athletic Grounds, one of the largest youth sports and entertainment complexes in the United States. There, she led more than 200 employees across a 280-acre campus, overseeing large-scale operations while strengthening partnerships, organizational culture, and the athlete and guest experience.
Before entering the private sports industry, Meg spent 11 years at Averett University, where she helped transform the athletics department into a nationally recognized model for competitive and academic success. Central to that transformation was her 3-2-1 Philosophy: achieve a 3.0 GPA, finish in the top two of the conference, and operate as one team. What began as a simple framework became a culture of accountability, connection, and shared purpose.
A former collegiate coach, Meg understands leadership from the locker room to the boardroom. She has spoken to national audiences about leadership, women in sports, resilience, team culture, and developing high-performing organizations.
Meg has also held prominent leadership roles within Women Leaders in Sports, including serving as the organization's President in 2023–24, and her work has been recognized across the collegiate and sports industries.
Whether speaking to executives, coaches, emerging leaders, or entire organizations, Meg brings an engaging and practical perspective shaped by more than two decades of leading through growth, change, pressure, and transformation.
